Gennea Moss-Moore is the Founder and CEO for Moss ADR Inc.  Having 20 years’ experience in labor & employment matters and compliance with for-profit and non-profit organizations; the Company focuses on alternative dispute resolution methods (arbitration, mediation, facilitation, conciliation, and negotiation), as well as coaching and consulting for individuals, companies, and government agencies.  She is prepared to hear matters in-person, as well as through video and telephone conferencing.

 

Prior to opening Moss ADR Inc., Ms. Moss served as an Advocate in arbitrations and other steps of the grievance procedure; Chair for Disciplinary Review Committee; Authority and Participant in mediations; Spokesperson during CBA negotiations; and case manager and change manager of policies and procedures in various industries.  Labor and Employment Arbitrator, Mediator, and Negotiator: Ms. Moss first gained experience with arbitration as an advocate and/or authority/participant in mediation, handling cases such as: Discipline and/or discharge (violations of company policy and/or CBA); discrimination (age, disability, race/nationality, and gender); fraud (timekeeping, identity, falsification of documents); demotion; promotion; employment immigration; COVID-19 compliance; drug/alcohol; past practice; management rights; protected activity; recall; transfer; harassment (bullying, sexual, and physical/verbal); time and attendance; employee movement; wage and hour; workers’ comp; conduct (on/off duty); quality control; social media (communications); working conditions; bargaining unit work; seniority; FMLA; contract interpretation; hiring practices; bumping; bypass; arbitrability; evaluation/performance management; bidding; health/safety; clothing/uniforms; job descriptions; probationary period; subcontracting; reductions in force (RIF).  Industry experience with industrial laundry; health care (clinics and hospitals); postal service; aeronautics; chemical; in-house security and fire; manufacturing; office workers/clerical; warehousing; janitorial; maintenance; skill-based workers

 

She is on three expedited arbitration panels with the USPS and APWU in Louisiana, Texas-1, and Texas-2.  In addition, she is registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution (GODR) to hear non-binding arbitration cases.

 

Ms. Moss is a member of the following associations: American Bar Association (ABA) for WIDR (Women in Dispute Resolution); ABA section for Labor & Employment; ABA section for Alternative Dispute Resolution; Society of Federal Labor & Employee Relations Professionals (SFLERP); NY State Bar Association (affiliate); and Labor & Employment Association (LERA).

 

She obtained her JD from the Appalachian School of Law and a MS in Industrial and Employee Relations and BA in International Affairs from Marshall University. She has a Certification from Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services "Becoming a Labor Arbitrator" and is a Higginbotham Fellow with the American Arbitration Association.
